To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Lincoln Technical Institute - Lincoln the most popular school in the New England Region for nursing students working on their undergraduate certificate. Lincoln, Rhode Island is the setting for this very small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out undergraduate certificates to 189 students in 2020-2021.
By the time they get their undergraduate certificate, students from this school have racked up an average of $14,439 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 88% were women.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Vermont Technical College. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Nursing Undergraduate Certificate Schools in the New England Region list. Vermont Tech is a small public school situated in Randolph, Vermont. It awarded 147 undergraduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Students from Vermont who attend Vermont Tech full time pay an average of $16,082 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $29,498. Out of the 39 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Porter and Chester Institute of Stratford landed the # 4 spot on the list. Porter and Chester Institute is a private for-profit institution located in Stratford, Connecticut. The school has a small population, and it awarded 105 undergraduate certificates in 2020-2021.

One thing to take note of is that CCRI does offer online classes in some areas. In 2019-2020 about 95% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Assabet Valley Regional Technical School did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for nursing students to get an undergraduate certificate. It came in at #16 on the list. This very small public school is located in Marlborough, Massachusetts, and it awarded 31 undergraduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Around 71% of those degree recipients were women.
With a ranking of #17, North Shore Community College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for nursing students working on their undergraduate certificate. Located in Danvers, Massachusetts, the small public school awarded 30 diplomas to qualifed undergraduate certificate students in 2020-2021.
In-state students pay an average of $5,352 in tuition and fees if they attend North Shore Community College full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $10,920. Mount Wachusett Community College landed the #19 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular undergraduate certificate nursing programs.
