To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Nursing Degree Search has created its Most Popular Nursing Schools in the New England Region ranking. This report analyzed 108 schools in the New England Region to see which ones were the most popular programs for nursing students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Nursing program at each school on the list.

Top 15% Most Popular Nursing Schools
Our 2023 rankings named Southern New Hampshire University the most popular school in the New England Region for nursing students. Located in the medium-sized suburb of Manchester, SNHU is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population.
While working on their degree, nursing majors at SNHU accumulate an average of around $16,539 in student debt.

The excellent programs at Regis College helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best nursing schools in the New England Region . Located in the suburb of Weston, Regis College is a private not-for-profit school with a small student population.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Sacred Heart University. It ranked #5 on our 2023 Most Popular Nursing Schools in the New England Region list. Located in the large suburb of Fairfield, Sacred Heart is a private not-for-profit school with a large student population.

University of Massachusetts - Boston came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Nursing Schools in the New England Region ranking. UMass Boston is a large public school located in the large city of Boston.
Nursing majors at UMass Boston take out an average of $29,881 in student loans while working on their egree.
With a ranking of #8, University of Rhode Island did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for nursing students. URI is a large public school located in the large suburb of Kingston.
Nursing majors at URI take out an average of $26,699 in student loans while working on their egree. For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $439.
Laboure College landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular nursing programs. Located in the suburb of Milton, Laboure College is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly small student population.
On average, nursing graduates from Laboure College take out $27,189 in student loans while working on their degree. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $215, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.
Quinnipiac University ranked #10 on this year’s Most Popular Nursing Schools in the New England Region list. Located in the suburb of Hamden, Quinnipiac is a private not-for-profit school with a moderately-sized student population.

MGH Institute of Health Professions did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular schools for nursing students. It came in at #14 on the list. MGH Institute of Health Professions is a small private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston.

Northeastern University Professional Advancement Network did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular schools for nursing students. It came in at #15 on the list. Northeastern University Professional Advancement Network is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in the city of Boston.
After completing their degree, nursing graduates from Northeastern University Professional Advancement Network carry an average student debt load of $39,659. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $523.
With a ranking of #16, Curry College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for nursing students. Curry is a small private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Milton.
