With all the nursing programs available today, it can be tough to choose which one is the best for you. You're no longer limited to schools in your local area, either, since online programs are becoming more prevalent. Or you may find the programs at a trade school to be a better alternative for you.
To help you arm yourself with the information you need to make your decision, Nursing Degree Search has developed this Best Value Nursing Schools in the New England Region ranking. This report analyzed 99 schools in the New England Region to see which ones offered the best value programs for nursing students. The goal was to highlight schools with more affordable prices than others offering similar quality experiences.
Our ranking of value is based on the quality of a program as defined in our per sticker price dollar. Specifically, our score for quality is discounted by the published tuition and fees charged by the given college. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The more quality your dollar buys, the better the value.
In our regional and nationwide rankings, out-of-state tution and fees are used in our calculations. For statewide rankings, we use average in-state tuition and fees.

Top 15% Best Nursing Schools
Our analysis found American Sentinel University to be the best value school for nursing students who want to pursue a degree in the New England Region . Located in the midsize suburb of Aurora, American Sentinel University is a private for-profit college with a small student population.
American Sentinel University undergraduate students pay an average of $10,520 in tuition and fees each year. The average amount in student loans that nursing majors at American Sentinel University take out is $24,075.
Out of the 99 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Eastern Maine Community College landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the small city of Bangor, Eastern Maine Community College is a public college with a small student population.
The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state undergraduate student at Eastern Maine Community College are $6,745 a year. After completing their degree, nursing graduates from Eastern Maine Community College carry an average student debtload of $27,052.
The excellent programs at Granite State College helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best nursing schools in the New England Region . GSC is a small public school located in the fringe town of Concord.

Out of the 99 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Northern Maine Community College landed the # 4 spot on the list. Northern Maine Community College is a fairly small public school located in the remote town of Presque Isle.
The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state undergraduate student at Northern Maine Community College are $6,710 a year. The average amount in student loans that nursing majors at Northern Maine Community College take out is $18,240.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Bunker Hill Community College. The school came in at #5 on this year’s Best Value Nursing Schools in the New England Region list. BHCC is a medium-sized public school located in the city of Boston.
