The excellent master’s degree programs at Sacred Heart University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular nursing schools in Connecticut. Sacred Heart University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in Fairfield, Connecticut that handed out 1,046 master’s degrees in 2021-2022.
On average, master’s degree students take out $42,473 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 77% of those degree recipients were women.
One thing to take note of is that Sacred Heart does offer online graduate classes in some areas. In 2020-2021 about 48% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Yale University. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Nursing Master’s Degree Schools in Connecticut list. New Haven, Connecticut is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out master’s degrees to 2,728 students in 2021-2022.
By the time they get their master’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $60,664 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 53% were women.
Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at Yale. In 2020-2021 about 1% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
The excellent master’s degree programs at University of Connecticut helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular nursing schools in Connecticut. University of Connecticut is a large public school located in Storrs, Connecticut that handed out 1,736 master’s degrees in 2021-2022.
On average, master’s degree students take out $36,927 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 59% were women.
One thing to take note of is that UCONN does offer online graduate classes in some areas. During the 2020-2021 year, about 37% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
A rank of #5 on this year’s list means University of Saint Joseph is a great place for nursing students working on their master’s degree. University of Saint Joseph is a small private not-for-profit school located in West Hartford, Connecticut that handed out 494 master’s degrees in 2021-2022.
On average, master’s degree students take out $43,374 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 88% of those degree recipients were women.
USJ does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 18% of graduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
University of Hartford did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for nursing students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. UHart is located in West Hartford, Connecticut and has a medium-sized student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 773 master’s degrees to qualified students.
Master’s Degree recipients from UHart accumulate an average of $35,791 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 61% of those degree recipients were women.
Online graduate courses are available at UHart, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 61% of graduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
Quinnipiac University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for nursing students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. Quinnipiac is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school situated in Hamden, Connecticut. It awarded 908 master’s degrees in 2021-2022.
On average, master’s degree students take out $45,485 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 65% were women.
Quinnipiac does have options available for those who want to take online graduate classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. In 2020-2021 about 48% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Fairfield University landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree nursing programs. Fairfield U is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school situated in Fairfield, Connecticut. It awarded 491 master’s degrees in 2021-2022.
On average, master’s degree students take out $35,692 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 63% of those degree recipients were women.
Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at Fairfield U. In 2020-2021 about 47% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Goodwin College landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree nursing programs. Goodwin is a small private not-for-profit school situated in East Hartford, Connecticut. It awarded 42 master’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Master’s Degree recipients from Goodwin accumulate an average of $26,418 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 76% of those degree recipients were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Goodwin does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. In 2020-2021 about 62% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
With a ranking of #10, Central Connecticut State University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for nursing students working on their master’s degree. CCSU is a medium-sized public school situated in New Britain, Connecticut. It awarded 492 master’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Master’s Degree recipients from CCSU accumulate an average of $32,960 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 64% were women.
Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at CCSU. In 2020-2021 about 32% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Western Connecticut State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for nursing students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #11 on the list. Located in Danbury, Connecticut, the small public school awarded 190 diplomas to qualifed master’s degree students in 2021-2022.
On average, master’s degree students take out $31,168 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 76% of those degree recipients were women.
One thing to take note of is that WestConn does offer online graduate classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 70% of graduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
Southern Connecticut State University came in at #12 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Nursing Master’s Degree Schools in Connecticut ranking. New Haven, Connecticut is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out master’s degrees to 586 students in 2021-2022.
Master’s Degree recipients from SCSU accumulate an average of $33,123 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 81% of those degree recipients were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since SCSU does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. In fact, around 51% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
