Our 2023 rankings named Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota the best school in Minnesota for nursing students working on their master’s degree.

One thing to take note of is that Winona State does offer online graduate classes in some areas. In fact, around 66% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
The excellent master’s degree programs at Minnesota State University - Mankato helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the best nursing schools in Minnesota.

Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 40% took at least some of their classes online.
University of Minnesota - Twin Cities landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best master’s degree nursing programs.
UMN Twin Cities does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. During the 2019-2020 year, about 65% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
St Catherine University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for nursing students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #8 on the list.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at St. Kate’s. During the 2019-2020 year, about 87% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
Minnesota State University - Moorhead did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for nursing students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #9 on the list.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since MSU Moorhead does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. During the 2019-2020 year, about 84% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
Capella University came in at #10 in this year’s edition of the Best Nursing Master’s Degree Schools in Minnesota ranking.

Rasmussen University - Minnesota did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for nursing students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #11 on the list.
