Factors related to overall quality of the school, post-graduation earnings, average student debt, and more accumulated were considered when coming up with this list.

Our 2023 rankings named Western Governors University the best school in Utah for nursing students working on their bachelor’s degree. Salt Lake City, Utah is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out bachelor’s degrees to 24,230 students in 2021-2022.
WGU does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $8,010. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $16,244 in student loans.
WGU is one of the schools on our list that is primarily online. Each undergraduate student at the school took at least one class online.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Utah State University. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Best Nursing Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Utah list. USU is a public institution located in Logan, Utah. The school has a large population, and it awarded 4,178 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $8,305 in tuition and fees if they attend USU full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $24,223. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $17,126 in loans while pursuing their degree.

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means University of Utah is a great place for nursing students working on their bachelor’s degree. U of U is a public institution located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The school has a large population, and it awarded 5,498 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Students from Utah who attend U of U full time pay an average of $9,315 in tuition and fees. Out-of-state students pay an average of $29,837. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $20,009 in loans while pursuing their degree.
U of U does offer online classes for certain degree levels. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 75% took at least some of their classes online.
The excellent bachelor’s degree programs at Brigham Young University - Provo helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the best nursing schools in Utah. Brigham Young University - Provo is a large private not-for-profit school located in Provo, Utah that handed out 6,562 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.

Utah Valley University ranked #6 on this year’s Best Nursing Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Utah list. UVU is located in Orem, Utah and has a large student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 4,072 bachelor’s degrees to qualified students.
Students from Utah who attend UVU full time pay an average of $6,270 in tuition and fees. Out-of-state students pay an average of $17,830. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from UVU accumulate an average of $19,494 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
Some students may be able to take online classes at UVU. During the 2020-2021 year, about 57% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Weber State University landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best bachelor’s degree nursing programs. This large public school is located in Ogden, Utah, and it awarded 2,639 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Utah pay an average of $6,391 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend WSU. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $17,084. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $21,225 in loans while pursuing their degree.

Dixie State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for nursing students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #8 on the list. Located in Saint George, Utah, the fairly large public school awarded 1,229 diplomas to qualifed bachelor’s degree students in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Utah pay an average of $6,074 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Dixie State College. Out-of-state students pay an average of $17,642. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $20,130 in loans while pursuing their degree.

Eagle Gate College - Murray ranked #9 on this year’s Best Nursing Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Utah list. Eagle Gate College - Murray is located in Murray, Utah and has a very small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 52 bachelor’s degrees to qualified students.
