Our analysis looked at 57 schools in the New England Region to see which bachelor's degree programs offered the best educational experiences for nursing students. Factors related to overall quality of the school, post-graduation earnings, average student debt, and more accumulated were considered when coming up with this list.

Our 2023 rankings named Bay State College the best school in the New England Region for nursing students working on their bachelor’s degree. Bay State College is a private for-profit institution located in Boston, Massachusetts. The school has a very small population, and it awarded 57 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Bay State College does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $29,500. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $32,382 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Bay State College does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. In 2020-2021 about 61% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Out of the 57 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, New England Institute of Technology landed the # 2 spot on the list. New England Institute of Technology is a small private not-for-profit school located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island that handed out 220 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $33,900 to cover tuition and fees at New England Tech. The school does not offer an in-state discount. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from New England Tech accumulate an average of $32,305 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Fairfield University. The school came in at #3 on this year’s Best Nursing Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the New England Region list. Fairfield University is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in Fairfield, Connecticut that handed out 1,241 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $54,455 to cover tuition and fees at Fairfield U. The school does not offer an in-state discount. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Fairfield U accumulate an average of $22,134 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.

In-state students pay an average of $19,434 in tuition and fees if they attend UCONN full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $42,102. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $20,882 in loans while pursuing their degree.

Salve Regina University came in at #20 in this year’s edition of the Best Nursing Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the New England Region ranking. Newport, Rhode Island is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out bachelor’s degrees to 518 students in 2021-2022.
