Suffolk County Community College landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best associate degree nursing programs.

LaGuardia Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for nursing students to get an associate degree. It came in at #10 on the list.
In-state students pay an average of $5,218 in tuition and fees if they attend LaGuardia full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $8,098. On average, associate degree students take out $10,677 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at LaGuardia. In 2019-2020 about 100% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
College of Staten Island CUNY did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for nursing students to get an associate degree. It came in at #11 on the list.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at CSI is $7,490. Out-of-state students pay an average of $15,440. On average, associate degree students take out $15,449 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Some students may be able to take online classes at CSI. During the 2019-2020 year, about 99% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Ocean County College came in at #12 in this year’s edition of the Best Nursing Associate Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.
By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $15,414 in student loans.
OCC does offer online classes for certain degree levels. In fact, around 44% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Pennsylvania College of Technology came in at #13 in this year’s edition of the Best Nursing Associate Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.

Raritan Valley Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for nursing students to get an associate degree. It came in at #17 on the list.
RVCC does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $6,912. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $13,255 in student loans.
Some students may be able to take online classes at RVCC. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 81% took at least some of their classes online.
Lock Haven University came in at #18 in this year’s edition of the Best Nursing Associate Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at LHU is $10,878. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $20,702. On average, associate degree students take out $29,113 in loans while pursuing their degree.
