Our analysis looked at 13 schools in Nevada to see which programs offered the best value experiences for nursing students with the aim of identifying those quality schools that are more affordable than some of their counterparts.
Our ranking of value is based on the quality of a program as defined in our per sticker price dollar. Specifically, our score for quality is discounted by the published tuition and fees charged by the given college. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The more quality your dollar buys, the better the value.
In our regional and nationwide rankings, out-of-state tution and fees are used in our calculations. For statewide rankings, we use average in-state tuition and fees.

Top 10 Best Nursing Schools
Our analysis found Truckee Meadows Community College to be the best value school for nursing students who want to pursue a degree in Nevada. Truckee Meadows Community College is a moderately-sized public school located in the city of Reno.

Out of the 13 schools in Nevada that were part of this year’s ranking, College of Southern Nevada landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Las Vegas, CSN is a public college with a fairly large student population.
CSN undergraduate students pay an average of $3,848 in in-state tuition and fees each year. Nursing majors at CSN take out an average of $13,781 in student loans while working on their egree.

The excellent programs at Western Nevada College helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best nursing schools in Nevada. Located in the small city of Carson City, WNC is a public school with a small student population.
In-state tuition fees for undergraduate students at WNC are $3,748 per year. On average, nursing graduates from WNC take out $19,794 in student loans while working on their degree.

Out of the 13 schools in Nevada that were part of this year’s ranking, Great Basin College landed the # 4 spot on the list. Great Basin College is a small public school located in the town of Elko.
In-state tuition fees for undergraduate students at Great Basin College are $3,683 per year. The average amount in student loans that nursing majors at Great Basin College take out is $18,566.
A rank of #5 on this year’s list means Nevada State College is a great value for nursing students. NSC is a moderately-sized public school located in the rural area of Henderson.

University of Nevada - Reno did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best value schools for nursing students. It came in at #6 on the list. Located in the large city of Reno, UNR is a public school with a very large student population.
