To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Nursing Degree Search has created its Best Value Nursing Associate Degree Schools in New York ranking. This report analyzed 52 schools in New York to see which ones offered the best value associate degree programs for nursing students. The goal was to highlight schools with more affordable prices than others offering similar quality experiences.

Our ranking of value is based on the quality of a program as defined in our per sticker price dollar. More specifically, we discount our quality score by the published tuition and fees charged by a school. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The value is determined by how much quality your dollar buys.

In our regional and nationwide rankings, out-of-state tution and fees are used in our calculations. Average in-state tuition and fees are used for our statewide rankings.

Top 10 Best Nursing Associate Degree Schools

Our 2023 rankings named Bronx Community College the best value school in New York for nursing students working on their associate degree. BCC is a medium-sized public school located in the large city of Bronx.

In-state tuition fees for undergraduate students at BCC are $5,206 per year. On average, nursing graduates from BCC take out $21,782 in student loans while working on their Associate Degree.

In addition to its best value ranking, and one of the reasons why the school is on the list, BCC is ranked #2 for overall quality for nursing in New York.

LaGuardia Community College

Long Island City, NY

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means LaGuardia Community College is a great value for nursing students working on their associate degree. Located in the large city of Long Island City, LaGuardia is a public college with a fairly large student population.

The average tuition and fees for an in-state undergraduate at LaGuardia are $5,218 a year. After completing their Associate Degree, nursing graduates from LaGuardia carry an average student debtload of $16,899.

Out of the 52 schools in New York that were part of this year’s ranking, Dutchess Community College landed the # 4 spot on the list. DCC is a medium-sized public school located in the suburb of Poughkeepsie.

In-state tuition fees for undergraduate students at DCC are $4,976 per year. While working on their Associate Degree, nursing majors at DCC accumulate an average of around $18,183 in student debt.
